PIPE DEFENDER prevents the growth of clams and all biological organisms in a vessels raw water system by creating a trace amount of bleach directly from seawater to sanitize the pipes. The system also lowers the pH of the seawater which descales the pipes as the water flows through them. This improves the performance of the air conditioning system and eliminates the need for acid flushing the seawater condensers.
